So We finally get our spirit vanity pet .. and we rock it all night long and we are going to continue to rock it for a long while. Why? Well, because its the best non combat pet we have.

So getting back to my non combat pet, Alliance won AB.. YES! You read correctly Alliance won A"B" ..
Oh we totally owned the horde on this one, which believe me I was very impressed with our team.
We took stables, lumber mill, and mines right off the bat. WE had 3 people stationary and the mines, 2 people at the stables, and 2 at the lumber mill, which leaves us 8 mobile people which worked out well. I was part of the 8. Any time there was an incoming to one of our resources, someone would call out and 4 of us would rush in to save the node. Now we still had 4 people that were still mobile and would defend if the horde tried to take 2 of our nodes at any givin time. So yes we kept 3 nodes up at all times.
I have to /bow to the healers in our groups, they did a fantastic job with the heals and cleanses also the mages, druids for decursing. We really worked like this was a raid group and tried to keep the raid members alive and it worked like a charm.
I was pumped and it was 2am.. try to get some sleep after a victory like that was next to impossible.
I did make second for kills which wasn't to shabby.

So I say great job Alliance ( I was actually proud to say that I was Alliance after that BG)

Ok so I started to really anylize my gear and damage output and realized I need a medium overhaul on my gear. I have epics except my chest which for some reason won't drop and I can only pvp for so long before I want to commit PC suicide ( horde win all but AV).



My gloves could be upgraded ( [Crystalhide Handwraps] )

My chest will need it( [Breastplate of Rapid Striking] )

I could use some enchants and this will boost my RAP about 200+ also Crit to around 29 -30%, but is it worth the hastle of either farming the mats or the money? Wrath is just around the corner ( well a few months anyway) or so Blizz says, and you know they are gonna have green items that are gonna be better then your epics, so again I ask is it worth the effort. What will I get with this boost?

Alliance won't win BG's because I boosted my stats.

I am currently ranked 1 or 2 on DPS for my guild so no boost there, plus we aren't hardcore ( still farting around in kara farming and just really starting SSC and TK).

Grind harder ( yeah there is a goal I want..lol)

To point and laugh that my stats are superior to others.( I think it would be much more effect with me on Baron's mount and pointing and laughing at people on there regular mounts).

So what do I get out of this? an empty wallet or maybe the exact opposite... farming for mats means alot of silver drops and gear for selling drops.. hrmm could make my money for epic flyer, however I still may have to buy some expensive mats ( economy sucks) and there goes my flyer money.. damn I thought I stumbled onto something.

bah! If Wrath was delayed a year then I can see doing all this, but with it being so close why bother....??

Pets after 2.4..

I would like to discuss something, this something is a very big something for hunters. This something is "GROWL" for your pets.
Ever since patch 2.4 was released I have noticed our pets being gimped. What is happening is, the aggro has dropped to an all time low for pets and as a result they can't sustain aggro.
My hunter will pull aggro off of his pet in the 3rd shot, so now I have to play run and gun with the mobs, or add feign death in my shot rotation.
Originally only the boar was supposed to be hit/nerfed for its high threat gen. The boar would open with charge, growl, gore, and then attack, which would generate 4k in threat. It was almost impossible to pull aggro off of a boar. Blizz said this was a bug.. yeah a bug that has been in the game for most of its life, but suddenly they decide to fix this "issue", Which I highly doubt a hunter would really complain about that so called bug.
That being said, when they gimped the boar, all the pets got gimped and will cast growl after they attack first, which at that point if you open up your shoot rotation, your first shoot will hit right before growl can execute causing your aggro to be very close to the pets aggro and with in the next few shots you have just successfully pulled aggro off your pet. If they could make intimidation have a 20 sec cool down then no problems since this causes a good amount of threat, however this would only work out for a BM specced hunter, so that would not be too fair to the other specs.
What mind boggles me is that Blizz is aware of the pet/growl issue and is waiting for the next patch to fix this, however that doesn't help hunters now, so why not fix this as soon as possible and get the fix out instead of waiting for other bugs for everyone's class to be fixed and do a bigger patch and give us a wait time. I can understand that it needs testing, but this is a serious hunter issue its not like it is an issue with serpent sting or viper sting, which hunters can live with out for a short period. If there was a bug with prot warriors taunt ability not generating the proper threat, that would be fixed asap. so why not ours. I have had to have my pet play OT in instances before and now I can't because of aggro threat issues.
So in the end, I have released my boar since his threat is permanently gimped and picked up a Ravager named "Fugly". So now I say good bye to you "baconbits" you had your glory days in the hot sun.

I have had alot of gear change since the last time I posted

So I have had alot of gear change since the lst time I posted here, 4 months ago to be exact. I haven't posted in a while because of RL stuff and WoW stuff, and quite frankly I need something to talk about for my return, which will be alot.

Thats right 70 finally

So I finally hit 70, yay now I get to sit at the big people table.
So now what am I gonna do?
Well I could get my professions up, mining and engineering. I could ground out some rep. I could do some PVP in BG or arena.
Hmm what to do? what to do?

Well I'm gonna tell you what I am doing, I am doing all of the above. I spend a few hours mining(255 finally), yes once my mining is up to 375 then I will finish up engineering, I then spend an hour grinding rep and then an hour doing PVP.

"But Sev what about getting gear and running instances?"

I'm glad you asked that question. I will post out for doing some runs and I need SL to get Sonic Spear and my key frag, but lets face it getting a run together for SL or any lower instance is hard so I just do the other until I can get in.

So the same thing has happened and in the same fashion. However this time we were able to change passwords before any character deletion.. I did lose 2700g total.. but I can grind that back.. They did manage to transfer Sev to another realm. So now its under investigation and hopefully will be moved back to hyjal. I still have all my gear..

What saved my account was actually these WoW signatures I have up top. I noticed that Maisson suddenly became a frost mage.. so now i have to get some gold to respec.. bastards. So these signatures are well worth it.
I believe this may have been from an addon recently dl'd because of the new patch.. so everyone be careful.

Sweet I dinged again. So now I am up to 67 and working hard to get to 68.

So now alot of people always said that don't waste your money on gear every level, which I can agree with somewhat. The only problem with that is when you level you gain some stats, but you also lose your crit chance, be it ranged, melee, or spell. So now if you do that for 5 levels you will lose 1-2%, which is alot. Everybody loves a good crit sometimes. So now I say make yourself an AH allowance for your levels, such as levels 10-20=2g, 20-30=5g, and so on. Now when you hit level 60 you may need to spend alot to get your epic mount, which I suggest doing, it makes moving(running away) through outlands a whole lot easier. Now so for the first few levels you will get great gear quest rewards, but it starts to die down when you get higher up until you hit the final 2 areas of the outlands. So you finally get your epic mount,(/cheer) now you have to save up for your flying mount when you hit 70 which is 1kg. That is alot of money....

Well good news, you make alot of money from drops and quest turn ins. So now you have to learn to budget your WoW checkbook. I personally started at 60 with 60silver after purchasing my epic ram I now have 1200g. I give myself up to 50g allowance when I go train. So if I see something(s) on the AH that will boost my stats, I get it as long as it is under 50g. This way I don't lose my crit stats to much and I will gain more in other areas as well. Well at least I have enough for my flying mount right when i hit 70 and will still have plenty of gold left over, which will help me get my engineering up( thats right flying mounts being hand built, I wonder maybe it will be snoopy's dog house?) I heard that it will be a mechanical dragon. Oh can't forget about the mailbot, so now we can drop a mailbox in a run that we can send ourselves stuff we collected or retrieve pots and supplies so we don't have to go in with our bags really full. (/teardrop)
So in final make sure you make smart buying decisions and not impulse shopping, spend when needed and you will see the gold pouring in..

Yup, I hit 66 last night and with that comes Kill Command (/claps excitedly). So now I have 4 more levels to go. This is a long haul. I do have enough money for my Birdie mount at least already, yes I still have extra money for training. I will be farming heavily with this toon to get a birdie for my mage.

My poor mage. Its hard to make good money on him ( I think he has bad ju-ju, but don't tell him. Oh shoot I think he heard me with his gnomish satellite ears.)

I did manage to solo a few elites last night with my kitty( named Bullet) who has loyalty level 5. Still troopin..... He does rip through mobs like they have catnip inside of them. It has been tough though to not pull aggro from him. BaconBits does hold aggro well but takes longer to burn the mob down. Now I gotta weigh out; faster burn to better aggro control.

Did Kara Saturday night and what was our prize?

My guild went to Kara Saturday night and I tagged along with Maisson. We did well on the trash mobs had a death here and there. Our healers did a fabulous job with the heals, Our tanks did marvelous in holding agrro, and our DPS'ers did a fantastic job (myself included) in opening a can O'Whoop-arse.

The chess event went with us dominating the game. It went well and fast(Checkmate). That's right Bobby Fischer I am calling you out!!!! That should make a boring pay-per-view event. I think I would rather watch synchronized gum chewing then that. Some purples did dropped *crossing fingers*(even though a gnome only has 3 fingers and a thumb so that was tough) and *please please* nothing for the mage. Grats go to the purple receivers on that one. Very nice stuff dropped for ya.

Next was Aran.*shudders* this guy was a small pain. We wiped the first 2 times to get our strategy down. Actually we did the first for strategy, second was just bad luck. On the second attempt we make it to the elements and Aran decides to give it to us like no tomorrow, he dropped his flame and blizzard at the the same time so it was an onslaught. Well Aran payback is a biatch, and we threw everything we had at him and BOOM! he went down like a ton of bricks. When those elementals popped we had our lock banish one and then the hunter would mark one and myself and the hunter would burn them down. Easy as pie ( although I'm trying to figure out how pie is easy..oh yeah that pie in American pie was a little easy and gave it up right away, no date or nothing...). Now its time to loot, and...and...and... Grats to our healers good healing gear dropped there..

Now it was Maidens turn. We dumped her like a sac'0 potato's( Sorry Maiden it's just not working out.. no please don't cry... really it's not you it's us.) that's right one and done on her.

and no mage gear again, but Grats to the others who got the purples..

Grats go out to our raid group. You ALL DID GREAT. Grats to all the looters as well.

Next time hopefully a mage item will drop. I'm sending Blizz a bribe and see if that works..

I did get a new BoomBoom Stick. It dropped when I hit 64 in Nagrand.

So I lost .46% crit chance to gain a total of 126AP with the new boomboom and a new axe and some gear, I think that was a fair trade off....

Well I guess its more kill,kill,kill to get to 66 and get killcommand....mmmm procs mmmmm....

5 weeks goes by and finally I log in and poof there's my alts again.. and they are naked..you know blizz you could have atleast clothed them...sicko's....

Of course they give me gear that is 5-6 levels lower then me and some gear was AAHHHH whale gear... no gold back of course..

So some where out there, out where this hacker needs a swift kick in the throat and some fingers broken... wow I still get a little upset about this.. heh

Well I am half way to 65 and for some reason I thought the next cat family in the 60's was a level 67 but low and behold I forgot about the lynx's in Bladesedge so tonight I am off to get the kitty boom boom.

No he will not replace my boar, this kitty will be mostly for instances and pvp. maybe some low level grinding greenies.. now I will have to go find cats to get the right ranks of claw and dash.. I have my work cut out for me..

Also with me being half way to 65 I will be getting a birdie too. So while I tame to train for the cat skills I will have to train for bird skills too.

This is The bird of my choice and I know the pictures are fuzzy but I don't have access to good picture since I am denied at work..lol

In case this is too fuzzy to make out she is known as Trachela, which can be found in the bone waste of Terokkar Forest. Well that would make my stable full. Great now I have to stock up on some meat and fish since that is what all 3 eat so I always will have the right food on me.

Great *sarcastically* now I get to fish and go from level 1 to 375.. That should be fun *shudders* better order a pizza and have a 12 pack ready for that one..

So why does my boar (BaconBits) rock?

Well 2 main reasons he does;

1. He looks cool with his undead features.

2. The most important feature would be his initial aggro gain.

I use KTM especially being a hunter to make sure I don't pull off my pet and have to play a melee hunter or play kite the mob game. With his charge ability and gore ability he generates massive aggro on the opening attack. He charges in to get anywhere from 3500 to 4500 initial aggro threat which makes aimed shot so nice when it crits since the mob can't be removed from him by anyone. By the time a mage can cast a pyro which may crit higher then 5k, BaconBits will have 8k threat in the next 6 seconds.. even if the mage POM Pyros the growl will keep the mob at his undead snout and his gore will crush them.

This makes BaconBits an excellent choice for solo grinding. However in instances its a little tougher to manage his threat. Its great to charge and off tank a second mob while tank gets first or to pick up the caster killing mob before it reaches the casters, but if I send him on the main tanks target he pulls the aggro right off the tank which saves a tank a huge repair bill..lol.. , but the healers forget to heal BaconBits thinking that the tank still has the aggro.

Well none the less BaconBits rocks and much love to him for making my repair bills only happening every 5-6 levels...
