Lets talk about Crit percentage.
So you have a 20% chance to crit with all the gear you have on. So what does that do for me?
Does it mean
A.) Out of 100 attacks/spells/shots 20 of them will crit.
B.) 20% of everything thrown at the mob will crit.
C.) 20% chance that one attack/spell/shot will crit.
D.) who needs crit when you can heal.
The answer is C.
Lets break that down as simple as possible.
Now lets picture a giant lottery machine with 100 balls in it labeled 1-100(wow that was hard).
1-20 crits 21-100 no crits.
Or 100 cards 20 being labeled Y and 80 labeled N Y=crit N=nocrit
Now you take a shot;
the lottery machine starts and poof first ball says 77
no crit
you take a shot;
you point to a card, it flips over and N shows
no crit... sorry you lose
next shot ;
ball says 32 which equals no crit nada nothing zippo zilch.. Bet you feel good now.
card says n which is no crit this time.. thanks for playing you loser.. wow harsh card..
3rd shot;
ball say 15...... DING DING DING CRIT.
card say Y... '' '' '' '' yes I got lazy and didn't want to type that again..even though I just spent more time typing this..SSHHH who asked you anyways..
Now every time you take a shot the balls get dumped back into the machine and the cards get flipped over and rearranged ( try to cheat by remembering the cards.. I'm on to you.. You are being watched)
so crits are based on 1 shot and if that shot crits. More or less /roll and if the number lands right you crit if it doesn't then no dice. Unless you got loaded dice /rolls you hack cheat and what ever else you are.../rasp.......
so inclosing best way to describe crit chance is;
every time you take a swing/fire off a shot/cast a spell your toon does a secret /roll you can't see and if the number is 80 or higher (this is all based on 20% ie if you have 15% chance to crit then if the number is higher then 85 ) you crit hence why sometimes you can have 4 crits in a row and then have 30 regular shots. It's all luck of the /roll.
Hope that helps! and I hope thats not wrong and I just fed you a line of bullterds.
