So We finally get our spirit vanity pet .. and we rock it all night long and we are going to continue to rock it for a long while. Why? Well, because its the best non combat pet we have.
Yep that's me in the picture,
that's me in the the spot light ,
wining some battle grounds,
I didn't think we can do it,
oh no I've killed to much..... REM SEV remix..I know it was cheesy but at least it was funny I hope.
/laugh.. I SAID /LAUGH! errr rrrr
/target you
/petattack
Ha! now who's laughing..
So getting back to my non combat pet, Alliance won AB.. YES! You read correctly Alliance won A"B" ..
Oh we totally owned the horde on this one, which believe me I was very impressed with our team.
We took stables, lumber mill, and mines right off the bat. WE had 3 people stationary and the mines, 2 people at the stables, and 2 at the lumber mill, which leaves us 8 mobile people which worked out well. I was part of the 8. Any time there was an incoming to one of our resources, someone would call out and 4 of us would rush in to save the node. Now we still had 4 people that were still mobile and would defend if the horde tried to take 2 of our nodes at any givin time. So yes we kept 3 nodes up at all times.
I have to /bow to the healers in our groups, they did a fantastic job with the heals and cleanses also the mages, druids for decursing. We really worked like this was a raid group and tried to keep the raid members alive and it worked like a charm.
I was pumped and it was 2am.. try to get some sleep after a victory like that was next to impossible.
I did make second for kills which wasn't to shabby.

Wrath pets.. hrrmmm
So which pets will I tame? Will I keep my current pets? I will have 2 extra slots.. Exotic pets?...
Since taming a low level pet will bring them up to just 5 levels below your level, the time for a stable over haul has come.. Now which pets?
I will be taming a White bear. Now that they will get some kind of charge or dash capability.
I will be taming the Ghost saber, always wanted that one just because.
I will be taming the Chimera(exotic), they may be able to do some heafty damage.
Those are the 3 definete ones so far.
Ones I may possibly tame:
Armored Boar ( looks sweet)
White gorilla ( again, also have a charge or dash ability)
New wolf or the demon hound that is featured in http://maniasarcania.com/
Looks very cool----------------->
Eagle looks cool too..
Not sure yet on the the last 2 slots.. of course all the exotics have not yet be implemented.

vanity pets and mounts
Quick quote from Blizzard on vanity pets and mounts.. bag space??huh??!!
Quote from: Nethaera
"We’re pleased to announce a convenient upgrade to the way that mounts and vanity pets are handled in Wrath of the Lich King.Players will be able to “learn” a mount or non-combat pet much like learning a spell, recipe, or new ability, and these creatures will then show up on a new Pet tab within the Character Info section of the interface. Players will be able to access and preview their learned mounts and vanity pets through this tab.Once learned, the pet icon or mount icon will no longer appear in bag spaces or bank spaces. This inventory space will be made available once again for other adventuring needs. Pets can still be set to hotkeys by dragging them to the hotkey bar, much like any other spell or ability. "
Not bad.. I still want an extra bag slot to take my quiver/ammo pouch slot.., but at least they are trying.. right?? I hope..??..
OK sorry for the delay but its Hunter update time. :)
Ok it has been a while since I posted anything and that is simply because I just became to busy and took a semi break from WoW. I have returned to playing again, however I will not be raiding all that much as I have started to burn out, hence the break.
Now for the WotLK updates for Hunters.
1st thing is the biggest update of all Pet talents and specs, let me just say "HOLY F#$#* this is #%$#ing great!" I did start to drool( just a little, easy cleanup).
There will be 3 talent trees, I am not total sure if each talent tree is beast specific or its just open 3 talent trees that you choose for any beast/pet.- Cunning
- Ferocity
- Tenacity
Wow those sound good right, but wait there's more. I have to give credit where credit is due and this huge update comes from MMO-Champion.com. I will set up links to each pet talent tree, also it has been updated that yes these trees are pet specific, but still cool. Also as a side note check out MMO-Champion.com for other updates if you don't visit them regularly.

Good stuff huh.. See and you laughed when I drooled... who's drooling now huh.....???? Wait Bears can learn Dash.. uh-oh looks like Daddy is getting a bear when the xpac comes out.. Cats can learn charge... him keep currant kitty or get a new kitty ..perhaps the Ghost saber... hmm choices are many..
Also a quote from our boys and girls in blue (blizzard).
Quote from: Wryxian
"The developers are currently working on the exotic pet talent. Exotic pets are exactly that, exotic and not the average run of the mill pet. But whether this name will stick or not, is uncertain at this point. But these will be a range of new pets with unique abilities, that only those with the talent will be able to tame and train. Where do you get them, well, we've not got news on that right now -- perhaps somewhere, exotic! ;-)
These pets are different from normal pets, but they're not necessarily more "uber" than others. However they will have access to unique abilities not available to the normal pets that every Hunter can train. A Hunter with this talent will get extra power, but from the talent's associated additional pet talent points and not necessarily from the exotic pet. "
Nice huh. Now for some Beta patch notes
- All pet families now have one unique ability. New abilities have been added for families such as bears and sporebats.
- Aspects now no longer cost mana.
- Avoidance, Dash / Dive and Cobra Reflexes are now pet talents instead of pet skills.
- Bite now has no cooldown, does the same damage and costs the same Focus as Claw, so works as a Focus dump.
Clever Traps (Survival) has been renamed "Trap Mastery." - Concussive Barrage (Marksmanship) - Can now proc from Volley attacks.
- Deterrence (Survival) - Cooldown reduced to 3 minutes, and now also increases your chance to resist spells by 60%. Now has a new spell effect.
- Every hunter pet can learn Growl, Cower and either Bite or Claw (never both).
- Hunter pets can now learn talents in one of three trees depending on family. Pets gain talent points starting at level 20 and earn an extra talent point every 4 levels.
- If a hunter tames a pet that is more than five levels beneath than the hunter's level, then the pet jumps to five levels beneath than the hunter's level.
- Improved Feign Death (Survival): Now also reduces damage taken during Feign Death by 15/30%.
- Loyalty, Training Points and the hunter Beast Training button no longer exist. Hunter pets can now learn all skills at their level. They will get new ranks automatically as they gain levels.
- Master Tactician (Survival) - Chance to proc increased to 10%, up from 6%.
- Monster Slaying (Survival) and Humanoid Slaying (Survival) has been combined into "Improved Tracking".
- New Talent - Improved Tracking (Survival) - Increases all damage done to targets that are being tracked 1/2/3/4/5%.
- Steady Shot now uses ammo. In result, its bonus damage has been slightly reduced. Players can notice a damage increase based upon what ammo they use.
- Surefooted (Survival) now reduces the duration of movement impairing effects by 10/20/30% (instead of resist % chance).
- Trap Mastery (Survival) has been removed.
Well I hope all you hunters are getting excited ( not that way you sicko freak) like I am.

Pets after 2.4..
I would like to discuss something, this something is a very big something for hunters. This something is "GROWL" for your pets.
Ever since patch 2.4 was released I have noticed our pets being gimped. What is happening is, the aggro has dropped to an all time low for pets and as a result they can't sustain aggro.
My hunter will pull aggro off of his pet in the 3rd shot, so now I have to play run and gun with the mobs, or add feign death in my shot rotation.
Originally only the boar was supposed to be hit/nerfed for its high threat gen. The boar would open with charge, growl, gore, and then attack, which would generate 4k in threat. It was almost impossible to pull aggro off of a boar. Blizz said this was a bug.. yeah a bug that has been in the game for most of its life, but suddenly they decide to fix this "issue", Which I highly doubt a hunter would really complain about that so called bug.
That being said, when they gimped the boar, all the pets got gimped and will cast growl after they attack first, which at that point if you open up your shoot rotation, your first shoot will hit right before growl can execute causing your aggro to be very close to the pets aggro and with in the next few shots you have just successfully pulled aggro off your pet. If they could make intimidation have a 20 sec cool down then no problems since this causes a good amount of threat, however this would only work out for a BM specced hunter, so that would not be too fair to the other specs.
What mind boggles me is that Blizz is aware of the pet/growl issue and is waiting for the next patch to fix this, however that doesn't help hunters now, so why not fix this as soon as possible and get the fix out instead of waiting for other bugs for everyone's class to be fixed and do a bigger patch and give us a wait time. I can understand that it needs testing, but this is a serious hunter issue its not like it is an issue with serpent sting or viper sting, which hunters can live with out for a short period. If there was a bug with prot warriors taunt ability not generating the proper threat, that would be fixed asap. so why not ours. I have had to have my pet play OT in instances before and now I can't because of aggro threat issues.
So in the end, I have released my boar since his threat is permanently gimped and picked up a Ravager named "Fugly". So now I say good bye to you "baconbits" you had your glory days in the hot sun.
/wave's goodbye
* walks down the sunset hills watching as his boar stand there with a confused look on his face wondering if he did something wrong,.. No it was not you old friend, it was the higher powers that be..

Pet leveling?
Ok so I read a blue post that states that in patch 2.3.2 that pet leveling speed has been increased, another blue post says that pet leveling has been substantially increased. So 2 posts with slightly different wording that can make a huge difference between the 2.
Now this can mean either your pet will level in accordance to the XP increase for the levels of 20-30 and 30-60 or it means that the leveling is increased for hunters of much higher leveling wanting to tame that special pet that would normally be torture to level up by 40 levels to match you.. Which is it?? hmm?? answer me!!!!
Well I hope it is the second one more over the first one, but at least the up and coming hunters will be great full that they are not passing their pets on levels by a huge amount of xp/levels.
I still feel that when a hunter tames a pet that is much lower in level then him/her, that the level should automatically increase to 6 levels below the hunter. This way all the hunters out there that are level 70 can get that Armored Boar or the Ghost Saber or which ever special pet you want and this would solve alot the the hunter complaints about not having tamable boars/bears in the outlands.
"but Sev I worked really hard to get my ghost saber to 70 from 19. I don't think that's fair to us who worked that hard to level it to 70."
Well I see your point on that, that is alot of hard work for you. The way I see it is now you won't have to work as hard next time. I do applaud you on that kind of effort and determination, But life is about changes and adapting, so adapt to this and I bet you'd like it and would forget about that hard work you did, because now you have a new special pet to love and nurture..

Did you hear that sound?? It sounded like a DING!
Yup, I hit 66 last night and with that comes Kill Command (/claps excitedly). So now I have 4 more levels to go. This is a long haul. I do have enough money for my Birdie mount at least already, yes I still have extra money for training. I will be farming heavily with this toon to get a birdie for my mage.
My poor mage. Its hard to make good money on him ( I think he has bad ju-ju, but don't tell him. Oh shoot I think he heard me with his gnomish satellite ears.)
/console maisson
I did manage to solo a few elites last night with my kitty( named Bullet) who has loyalty level 5. Still troopin..... He does rip through mobs like they have catnip inside of them. It has been tough though to not pull aggro from him. BaconBits does hold aggro well but takes longer to burn the mob down. Now I gotta weigh out; faster burn to better aggro control.

Sweet I get a kitty finally... /cheers

My pet and why he rocks!!!
So why does my boar (BaconBits) rock?
Well 2 main reasons he does;
1. He looks cool with his undead features.
2. The most important feature would be his initial aggro gain.
I use KTM especially being a hunter to make sure I don't pull off my pet and have to play a melee hunter or play kite the mob game. With his charge ability and gore ability he generates massive aggro on the opening attack. He charges in to get anywhere from 3500 to 4500 initial aggro threat which makes aimed shot so nice when it crits since the mob can't be removed from him by anyone. By the time a mage can cast a pyro which may crit higher then 5k, BaconBits will have 8k threat in the next 6 seconds.. even if the mage POM Pyros the growl will keep the mob at his undead snout and his gore will crush them.
This makes BaconBits an excellent choice for solo grinding. However in instances its a little tougher to manage his threat. Its great to charge and off tank a second mob while tank gets first or to pick up the caster killing mob before it reaches the casters, but if I send him on the main tanks target he pulls the aggro right off the tank which saves a tank a huge repair bill..lol.. , but the healers forget to heal BaconBits thinking that the tank still has the aggro.
Well none the less BaconBits rocks and much love to him for making my repair bills only happening every 5-6 levels...
