Less then a week for LK!!

So less then a week a way from Lich King and what have I accomplished?

Nothing absolutely nothing!

I keep trying for Baron's mount and get nothing, and it has consumed my time, which means my gorilla is still level 67...

I haven't made any real gold.

I haven't made any attempts on instances.

Although I did manage to get my hordie Shaman to almost 40.. half a level left.

I have decided to finish off the triple XP for the Refer a Friend. I only have 3 weeks left to use up that buff. I have seen 1-60 in 22 hours with this buff, so I may be able to get 2 toons to 60 before it expires. This will also allow time for Northrend to filter people out so it won't be so crowded.

I do have my zebra mount thought..

OVERHAUL NEEDED!!!!

I think it's time for a massive overhaul to what I normally talk about. I am now going to write about all aspects of WoW, not just hunter stuff.

I think this has been long over due.

First thing's first, I will be writing a whole lot more then I was before, I am going to be more open to my writing styles as well.

More subjects on what I write about as well. I want to really reach out to more then just the usual 3 people that pop on to see if I actually updated anything.
(so really who won the pool on me posting next?)

I am going to make this blog one of which people will want to read everyday. There are alot of blogs that I read daily, and alot of websites that I read as well.

I will also be bringing readers updates as I found them out.
You know it is actually sad and selfish of me, to play beta and not really post much on it.
I do apologize for that.

So in closing I will be changing and moving some stuff around to make this a more open blog, where people will actually like to stop by and say hi and/or post some comments on some stuff.

/cheers for now and I hope you all look forward to the new look of things.

aaahhhh no time for me!!!!!

Date is really 11/1

Man has it been awhile since I posted something last. It has been a crazy month, with the wife and kids and new job... haven't really had time to do much.. but I was able to sneak away..

/sneak

^see^

I have been dabbing ( is that even a word?) in WoW and beta.. I did finally clean out my bank... Holy moth balls Batman..!! I did manage to make about 1k + for everything in the AH.. so not a bad nights work.

My mage is now tattered in a new spike look, I like it.. Fear the Green Spikes of Wrath!!!!

Blizz did higher the drop rate of Baron's mount so I am off to get that.. now instead of 1 out of 5000 its now 1 out of 100.. I better get it now.

/Marks Blizz with a bounty for their heads...

IF I DON'T GET IT THEN THAT WILL HAPPEN!!!

THINGS TO DO/DONE BEFORE WRATH!

So in lou of Wrath coming out in a few weeks, I have been working on getting a horde shaman ready for outlands, hes level 37 atm.

Killed the new boss in Kara, lost roll for the axe, but did get the bat pet, not really a good equivalent but meh at least I didn't leave empty handed.

My corehound is level 70 and gorilla is 67.

Still working on getting Baron's mount. ( he's so stingy, sharing is caring you bastard.)

Conquered Mount Hyjal and got a neck piece that was it. nothing more nothing less, why because my rolls don't go past 20.

Still tweaking addon's.. I hate patches for this reason..

Still working on getting 25 quests done and not turned in until wrath comes out, instant xp, why not.

determining if Northrend will be tackled right when I get Xpac or wait and do quests in outlands for a little bit, it's still XP and I don't have to worry about Northrend crashing because of player overload.

This week I am tackling (with my guild of course) TK. Will I get anything? most likely not, I still will roll under 20.. WTB new /roll dice.

That's about it for now.

/cheers to all.

Wrath update review

Ok so I got to visit Northrend for awhile and really get to take in everything, it was really amazing and to have two starting areas to choose from was nice, I advise stormwind harbor to get to Northrend, less people in that zone..
One long boat wait and trip later I get to my destination, the Borean Tundra.
What a great and open place. You start off getting a few quests to get to know the town that you arrive in.
I suggest while you are there to visit all the profession trainers and work on leveling your first aid and skills,
/poke
Poke?
"It's your subconscious, are you forgetting something?"
"no!? why? what am I forgetting?"
"Don't you feel lighter?"
"Yeah, actually I do feel lighter.. why is that?"
"You really don't know why?"
"nope!" My bags are still full, my ammo patch is still full, "oh god! please tell me my gear/clothes
are still on or am I living the running around Iron Forge naked dream?" gear still there /sigh, my wallet is ... is... is!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I'm missing GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!.....
"No your not."
"YES I AM!"
"No you really are not."
"Then where is it? huh Mr. Smartypants?!"
"What did you do when you arrived off the boat?"
"I got more stable slots and train my skills."
"OK and how much did that cost you?"
"I wasn't paying attention, a few gold right?"
"nope.... 200g for stables, 50g for GrandMaster profession and about 7G for each new item creation."
" let's see that's 200g + (50g*2) ....
/carry the 2 ..."
"Hey Boy Genius you just spent 400G in a matter of 5 mins..'
"Gadzooks!!! I just spent 400Gin a matter of 5mins..!!!"
"I just said that, Captain Obvious!"
" no need to get rude.. "
"Tough love...you need to learn somehow!"
"whatever!!!!"
so yeah be prepared to spend a fortune when you get there.... Thank god I never leveled my fishing and cooking or else I would be broke.... ouch.
After realizing I just spent alot of money, I decide to do some quests, which yield you about 4-6g a quest.. each mob also drops up to 30s so you will make your money back in no time. I got to meet the new Tuskarr group which look kinda cool...
They had me bullying some Nord'smen and stealing from them as well... well no it's more like stop them from getting bullied by the Nord'smen...
One thing I do realize is I never trained any new spells ... oops...
I do want to say that I do like the new aspect of viper, I was generating 174 mana a shot and multishot would yield triple that amount... I was not even close to running out of mana.... It was a nice change of pace....
The kill command takes some getting used to... Also pets still don't hold aggro as well as they should be..
There are still a few bugs that need to be worked out...
I will keep posting more tomorrow.. and with alot more detail.. I will also post some screenshots of some cool places and creatures, also some UI screenshots..
/cheers

WarHammer review against WoW.

VS.

So I got a chance to try the Warhammer beta and Daddy likes..., but is it strong enough to pull me from Warcraft?

The player creation is about on par with WoW, no major change, not like Conan, which has an amazing player creation, but we are not talking about Conan ( which sucks after level 40 oh and also if you don't have a UBER PC then good luck getting past 1FPS..... ) ok back to my subject before my review becomes a triple threat match.

So WH (WarHammer) has 2 sides good and bad A.K.A Order and Destruction. I read that order and destruction will have completely different classes from each other...Which got me intrigued( might make for some great PVP and PVE on both sides). They were right about the classes being different for both sides...( yeah different as in class names and spell names, but still has the same style of spells and animations) big difference huh??? yeah its like Coke vs Pepsi, no matter how you look at it its a cola.

Anyhow, I created a Human Bright Wizard first, which I gave a cool Mohawk, oh yeah before I continue I have to tell you that every race has different classes so a dwarf and human can't have the same class, getting back to my dude. I started out doing simple quests but my starting health was 400hp. Not bad. I started with 2 spells and that's about it.

I quested and killed to gain XP and level up. The kinda cool, but kinda annoying thing is that every level you get to train a spell and also there is only one trainer for everyone so no more looking for your trainer. after leveling and running around I ended up in whats known as a "Public Quest" which is in a specific area and anyone in that one spot can participate in this quest. It's 3 phases, which consist of waves of enemies for phase 1, waves of elites for the the second phase, and finally a boss for the third phase. After the boss is down a chest appears and an auto roll appears on the screen and shows your spot on the roll list, which looks like a train schedule at a train station. Who ever starts the quest from the beginning and finishes thourgh the end and also does the most DPS gets a bonus to their roll and everyone will get some kind of roll bonus that ranges anywhere from 25-400 extra on their 1 to 1000 roll. The top 3 rollers get the loot.

So there I am level 10 and decide to try RvR combat( same as battlegrounds only you can join from your map anywhere you are anytime you want) Its cool cause there is 3 battle scenarios per zone. The one I got into was much like AB with capturing areas and defending it for resources, but it felt like WoW and the Order got pwned ( however you spell that).

After the PVP action I was back to questing and finally died in the PVE zone and low and behold I respawned in the nearest town to where I was murdered brutally, that's tight no ghost running body finding fun so please hold your /crying back. However when you respawn you have a 10 minute debuff, which reduces your stamina by 10% and stacks up to 3 times, but there is hope, in most of the towns there is a healer that can remove the debuff.

The graphics for the environment in WH is alot more real looking then WoW and the characters are a little more realistic in WH but I still like the WoW character models a little better. The sound is pretty much the same, WH has a few better options for certain things like the Public Quest, but WoW has its own features that are better like more spells/attacks larger zones and better quests.

So over all if I have to give WarHammer a rating out of 10 I give it: 8.5

Is WarHammer a WoW killer? no, not by a long shot, I think that it is more like a healthy alternative if you either don't feel like playing or hate WoW or to keep from burning yourself out on WoW.

So I recommend you check it out, I will be playing WarHammer and WoW so I really won't get tired of either.

Wrath opening cinematics

Blizzard has released the Wrath of the Lich King opening cinematics, and I was actually disappointed in it. It was nice at the start, but ended to quickly. I have always loved the cinematics for WoW and BC due to the battles being shown between Horde and Alliance. It was always nice to watch your classes battle it out on "the big screen", but WotLK only shows him, his army, his dragon, and of course his sword. That's it? yep that's it.

I think that Blizzard went a little short with this. I did enjoy the movie don't get me wrong, however I was left with this saying running through my mind "that's it? wheres the rest? maybe I had a broken linked page. Let me try another one.... wow I guess that was it. hmm, doesn't show much or tell me much."

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath/intro.xml <-- Link to the movie if you have not seen it.

What are your thoughts on this?
