So why blog??...Hmmmm
/think
Well I read alot of blogs and figure why not talk about everything and nothing. To get things off my chest, rant, and rave about subjects, people, and just general things. To offer advice on wow topics or general topics.
Let me just say a few blogs that I read inspired me to create my own in hopes of someone may actually read this and even if no one does at least it will get my thoughts out into the open.
Well let me start by introducing myself.
/wave
I go by the the 2 aliases Severoth( hunter) and Maisson(mage) on WoW(hyjal server).
/background on my toons
I started playing wow 2 years ago despite the fact that I always said I would never pay a monthly fee for a game. I got started by a co-worker who was always playing mmo's. I watched him reading forums and websites and started to ask what they were for and he told me about some of the mmo's he was playing. WoW interested me alot, but I still said I would never pay to play( "never say never") . He kept telling me how great it was and blah blah blah.. Finally I started to read the forums and read the websites and curiosity kicked in( good thing I'm not a cat or I'd be not typing this since I'd be dead) . Finally he convinced me to try his 10 day trial period card. So he gave me the discs and home I went.
I installed the game set up my account and boom I was at the create a player screen. Now I had been studying the different classes and races before I got logged in so I had a clue as to what I wanted to start with. After much debate with myself I decided to start a dwarf hunter. I went through the create screen and Severoth was born into Azeroth.
The first time I logged in I saw the opening video I was impressed that the video ended with my toon standing there like it was geared towards me. I start to learn how to quest and kill and by the end of the first night I reached level 6 and thought this game is pretty cool(kewl), but still not convinced to pay a monthly fee for it. I logged in the next night and made it to level 10 and of course finally got my pet and felt a real sense of accomplishment, this was my first mmo, I tamed a bear for my first pet, name was bear since I didn't know you could change your pets name.
I logged off for the night and went to sleep, and wouldn't you know it, I had a dream about WoW( and the addiction starts). I start to think about playing when I was at work which drove me to reading the forums all the time, of course this furthering my addiction. I played 5 nights a week for about 4-5 hours per night. I leveled at a slow to moderate pace since I was still a noob. I hate to admit this but I reached level 40 and never knew that I could hit the pet attack button to send out my pet to get initial aggro(melee huntard FTW) so that entire time I was struggling alot and getting fed up with dying, I did know atleast about talent points I can spend just not where to put them so it was a like a toddler eating spaghetti.
So I shelved my hunter and rerolled a mage.
Months later my mage hits 60, wow I finally did it I made it to 60.. now what? I ran instances, farmed, and crafted until the ever so nice TBC comes and now its off to the outands. Now I can get to 70, and again my hunter staying at 40.. So I hit 70 in a few weeks and started the instance, farm, and blah blah routine again. I was on top of the DPS list all the time and, somehow managed to pull aggro off every tank in my guild and pug runs. I was dubbed the "Aggrowhore". I started to get bored of doing the runs as of course I never had gotten a purple item from a run ever.. So every night it was log in, Boom Boom Boom, roll/bid, lose the roll/bid every time, pay a repair bill, log out.. I always seemed to end up with whale gear( go figure on that one) in my bags of course not on me.
/eww
I rerolled alot of alts and liked each playing style and still had the thought of my hunter in the back of my mind and tired to convince my self that the aggravation was not worth it and finally after much debate and alt playing i decided to read up on hunters..OMG you can have your pet attack first.
/lightbulb
So that's how come I always saw their pet charging out for the first attack.
/equip noob dunce cap
I always seem to have thought that it was a spell or something to that effect the hunter received from a quest or something and I never asked any hunters cause I didn't want to sound like a noob(very foolish to not ask and spend all that time doing other things...<----I'm with stupid) . All of a sudden my hunter was a it, I finally can play him to what he is supposed to be. I studied pets and and forums like no tomorrow to better myself and them came across a blog that seemed to make everything about a hunter make sense( http://www.bigredkitty.blogspot.com/ ).
Now I play like a true hunter(BM of course) and have been loving every minute of it. I only need to repair every 5 or 6 levels and got him to level 64 and still truckin to 70.
so a big /ty to BRK and his blog.

Thanks for the compliment. :)
And a gentle recommendation, if we may. Red text on black is very hard on the eyes.
Good luck!
